October 18th is a significant day for students. Not only is it close to final examinations, but it has also become a time for students to support each other during challenging times. As it as such that the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) will celebrate its annual World Student Day with a 48-hour prayer event.
This is organised through small groups and large gatherings on university campuses worldwide. The South African affiliate, the Students’ Christian Organisation (SCO), has announced that prayer meetings will occur, including a unified meeting of all higher education prayer groups in the Western Cape province. This event will be held from 17:30 to 20:30 at the ABSA Auditorium of the Cape Peninsula University in District Six. The programme shall be live streamed on the SCO District Six Campus and SCO Western Cape Province Facebook pages.
